Job Description and Duties

Under the general direction of the Chief, Management Services, Staff Services Manager III, this position serves as the working level supervisor responsible for managing the classification and pay, adverse action, recruitment and selection, leap coordinator, health and safety, workers’ compensation, labor relations, and personnel transactions of the Personnel Office for the State Treasurer's Office (STO) and the Boards, Commissions, and Authorities (BCA’s).

Department Information

The State Treasurer's Office is a small department located in the historical Unruh Building at 915 Capitol Mall, close to the State Capitol, public transportation and with parking garage options nearby. The building is adjacent to the State Capitol Park, which is a wonderful place to exercise and enjoy the beautiful landscape during the fair-weathered months. The neighborhood around the building is filled with endless dining options, coffee shops, fitness clubs and conveniences like corner stores, etc.

The Personnel Office is a tight-knit team of highly effective, communicative, motivated professionals who are focused on excellence and team work.   1. Describe your experience in reviewing and approving the work of others and explain the factors considered to determine the quality of a completed assignment.
  2. Describe your experience related to training and educating managers and supervisors on the civil service discipline process.
  3. Describe your experience in working with Executive level management and steps you have taken to develop strong working relationships.
