Job Description and Duties

CalPERS seeks a Staff Services Manager I (Specialist) in the Legislative Affairs Division, State Policy & Legislation section. The Legislative Affairs Division advocates for CalPERS members and stakeholders by providing information and in-depth policy analyses to state and federal governmental entities and educates CalPERS about relevant changes in state and federal laws.

Under the general direction of the Staff Services Manager III, the incumbent is responsible for the wide variety of duties in all areas of legislative development, coordination, education, and advocacy. Functions as a non-supervisory Staff Services Manager I (Specialist) in the critical and sensitive state policy program administered by CalPERS.
