PARK MAINTENANCE ASSISTANT (PERMANENT INTERMITTENT) ($15.97 - $18.27/HOUR) – OHMVR / OCOTILLO WELLS / BORREGO SPRINGS
The reporting location is the Ocotillo Wells District maintenance office at 5172 Highway 78, Borrego Springs. This is a great job opportunity to work in a beautiful desert environment. The incumbent is under the supervision of the Ocotillo Wells District’s Park Maintenance Supervisor (PMS).
This position will perform routine cleanup and unskilled maintenance tasks at Ocotillo Wells SVRA and Heber Dunes SVRA. Primary duties include: cleans restrooms, showers, campgrounds, picnic sites, and other facilities; applies various cleaning agents; picks up and hauls garbage and trash; assists in the care and maintenance of irrigation systems, and trees, shrubs, and other vegetation; loads, unloads and handles building materials and other supplies; assists park maintenance employees with more complex maintenance projects; operates and performs minor maintenance on light vehicles and small hand tools; answers routine questions from the public as necessary; completes miscellaneous reports; and leads and trains less experienced maintenance personnel.
This position requires a valid class C driver's license. The work schedule will be Saturday through Tuesday, from 6:00am to 4:30pm.
