STATE PARK PEACE OFFICER SUPERVISOR (RANGER) ($5,158 - $7,010) – COLORADO DESERT DISTRICT / ANZA-BORREGO DESERT STATE PARK

To be eligible, you must meet the minimum qualifications established by the Department of Human Resources AND either be currently eligible or eligible for reinstatement as a PC 830.2, California State Peace Officer. The reporting location for this position is Borrego Springs, CA.  This position will work under the general supervision of the State Park Superintendent III.

This position is responsible for the operations and patrol for nine rangers in a 600,000-acre area.  We are looking for candidates with leadership and creative thinking abilities to work with a great team of park professionals in a unique and exciting environment.  This supervisor will lead, plan, organize, direct and review interpretation, enforcement, safety, patrol, training and resource management projects, as well as have regular input into budgets and overall operations.
