Job Description and Duties

Under the general direction of the Senior Air Quality Engineer, the Air Quality Engineer I (AQE I) is responsible for conducting research and providing technical support for BAR training development including the development of new training and testing standards, multi-media training materials; regulations, policy and procedures development; S & T website management; and technical support.

Working Conditions

No specific physical requirements are present: the incumbent works in an office setting, with artificial light and temperature control.  Daily access to and use of a personal computer and telephone is essential.  Sitting and standing requirements are consistent with office work.

The Bureau of Automotive Repair’s mission is to protect and serve California consumers by ensuring a fair and competitive automotive repair marketplace and administering a model motor vehicle emissions reduction program.
